Is there any funding available now for new projects?

At November 2011, there is a very small amount of funding available.  We anticipate that this will all be allocated within the next month.  If you are interested in accessing this funding, pelase contact us directly with details of your project.  Time is very short, as full applications for this final tranche of funding need to be submitted by 28th November.

Will there be any more funding?

We are hoping that we will be able to access more funding for the area, but there can be no certainty at this time.  We will provide details of any further funding on this website, so do check to see if the situation changes.

If you would like us to contact you when any new funding becomes available, please contact us with a short summary of what your project is about and the approximate amount of funding that you would be interested in.  We will add your details to our waiting list, and get in touch with you as soon as any more funding is known.

I am having problems running my project - what should I do?

If you are running a project with funding from South Devon Coastal LAG and you are having difficulties, come and talk to us.  Either contact Cathy Heath directly at our Kingsbridge office, or contact us on admin@ruraldevon.org

We have experience of working with many hundreds of projects of all different types and sizes, and we can offer advice and support, and can put you in touch with others who can help if we are unable to assist.

My project is taking longer to deliver than planned - what should I do?

As soon as you identify that your project is going to overrun, it is very important that you let us know.  We can then work with you to come up with a realistic revised plan to work to.  As long as we know what is going on with your project, we can help to ensure that you aren't penalised for unavoidable project delays.

What do I need to do to claim the funding that has been agreed for my project?

At the end of each quarter, you will be sent a claim form to complete. On this form you should record any relevant items/services you have purchased during the quarter and provide a full update on your progress and your plans for the remainder of the project. You will need to send the relevant invoices along with copies of your bank statements showing the money being paid out, and these will be checked by the DR claims team.  They will contact you with any queries, and once your claim is approved, payment will be made to you via South Hams District Council.

This process wil be explained to you in more detail when your project is approved, and if you have any queries, you can contact us for assistance at admin@ruraldevon.org

How can I get more involved with South Devon Coastal Local Action Group?

We are always keen for more people to join our Management Team.  The team meets monthly to discuss project applications and project progress, and is responsible for setting up and reviewing the Local Development Strategy.  We are planning to review the current strategy and start preparing a new one in 2012, and particularly want to ensure that we represent the views of the whole commnity in the South Devon Coastal area.  If you would like to get involved in this, please contact us at admin@ruraldevon.org
